Imang Jasmine started his career as a professional photographer in Indonesia which ultimately encouraged him to know more about batik. In 2014, Imang Jasmine tried to learn "batik tulis" by utilizing his experiences as a photographer. The composition of patterns and color were what mostly inspired Imang Jasmine' photos. Since he realized that the techniques of making traditional batik rare, it moved his heart to cultivate batik by collaborating with batik makers to revive their batik technique and look for a place as the center of their activities and workshops.
