Tewuni Rai Savu - Savu Tubular cloth or Èi wo mèdi

Rp 2.385.000,00

Description:

The maternal lineage wini Ga Lena was created by a female ancestor of the same name, either shortly before of the arrival of the Portuguese in the area (15th Century) or in the first half of the 16th C. Some six generations later a sub-group of wini Ga Lena was created (17th C). The motif ru wèngu which is not to be found often is identified with this sub-group. However this doesn’t mean that the motif ru wèngu was created at the time of the formation of this sub-group.

However the name keware kepue (keware = curves, kepue = origin) which is used by Lilo Tajo and some members of her subgroup tends to identify it with the origin of the group, meaning the original heirloom basket. According to Lilo Tajo she is a descendant of the ancestress Bida Lado whose sister, Mojo Lado, married the third raja of the district of Seba during Portuguese times. (see Duggan & Hägerdal 2018: 140, 142). Lilo Tajo is a descendant of Bida Lado, 12 generations later.
